Prior to co-founding The Collaborative, Beverly held several senior level sales, business development and business operations positions with John Hancock Financial Services, including Director of Business Development for John Hancock's institutional retirement plan business and Vice President of Institutional Sales for John Hancock Mutual Funds. Beverly launched the relationship management group for John Hancock's institutional retirement plan business, and created the first internal training group for that unit.

Beverly was part of the senior management team responsible for moving John Hancock's institutional retirement plan business unit and its client base from Hancock's institutional group to its retail investment management arm. At John Hancock Funds, Beverly was charged with creating a distribution strategy to enable the retail-focused group to enter the institutional investment marketplace. As part of John Hancock's Investment Marketing Group, Beverly participated in the development of timber, private placement, and agricultural investment products. Beverly's background also includes executive search and retail banking. During her banking career she launched the first ATM operation and co-led the first IRA operation for Patriot Bank, N.A.

Beverly holds both a BSBA and an MBA from Suffolk University. She holds National Association of Securities Dealers licenses 6, 26, 63, 22 and 65. She is a member of the American Society for Training & Development, the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives, and the Sales & Marketing Executives Association. She has held numerous board and volunteer positions with not-for-profit organizations. Beverly is a member of The Boston Security Analysts Society.

Beverly had her own business offering training and one-on-one consultation for individuals to accomplish behavior modification in a variety of arenas. She is an accomplished trainer and public speaker. Beverly is the co-author of Wealthbuilding: A Consumer's Guide to Making Profitable - and Comfortable - Investment Decisions, published by Dearborn Financial Publishing. Wealthbuilding is a Book of the Month Club Money Club selection.
